It’s not often Paragould gets a new restaurant, especially one that’s not a chain, so I was excited to hear about Smitty’s Build-a-Burger opening in town even if I don’t eat meat. I visited there with family the other day, and lucky for me they have grilled cheese sandwiches! I was so excited since I expected to only be able to eat french fries. Smitty’s has a cute theme and easy to understand menu. The topping bar is free so you can fix up your burger however you want. It only took a few minutes to get our food and the service was quick and friendly. While it’s definitely pricier than a fast food restaurant, you can tell that Smitty’s uses good meat and the quality of the food is better. The prices are in the $5-$8 range for a burger combo with fries and a drink. We all enjoyed Smitty’s and definitely plan to return. My only suggestion — maybe expand and include a house made black bean burger someday? Paragould has more people that would appreciate a veggie option than you probably know! Smitty’s is a great and much needed addition to the Paragould restaurant scene!
